Who said i can't draw realistically

I would just like to say this post goes out to my college, fine art teacher, Pete, who basically thought he knew everything about art, except how to draw, and said i couldn't draw realistically and just draw silly cartoons. So here are my realistic drawings, the one above is Ellen Pompeo who plays Meredith Grey in the wonderful show 'Greys Anatomy' i only lightly shaded this picture because i really wanted to show detail.
This is the cover from the film 'Girl, Interrupted' on the left is 'Winona Ryder' and on the right 'Angelina Jolie' o used coloured pencils to draw and shade this picture. I think it looks pretty realistic.

I would say this is my favourite drawing i've done, this is 'Angelina Jolie' in wanted, i spent 3 long hours drawing and shading this so it looked exactly like the cover, up yours pete!

Random doodles

This is actually from the film 'Silent Hill' i just liked the pose and amount of shadow, and thought i draw it.
This is an illustrated drawing of the wonderful Hayley Williams from Paramore, i just loved the expression and i always like to play around with different colours.

RED, this is just a close up of hair and a girls chin, but i love that i was able to show how vibrant the hair is compared to the skin tone, coloured pencils ftw.

Love of Milk & Cookies, they are quite delicious together.

Ah, yes the green sweat pants, this was an inside joke between me and my good friend, Conor, who is included in the pictures below.

This is an illustration of me and my friend Conor, Just happening to walk through a forest as you do, i give him a crow because he has a thing about crows, strange, but i think it works, and i like how our personalitys are portrayed through this illustration :D

Me & Conor again, matching clothing, nice touch i think.

I truly love 1940's america, the hair and fashion is just amazing.

Influenced Illustrations

My Version of one of Matthew Woodson illustrations, i'm very critical about this drawing but i do like the shoes :)
This is my version of one of Matthew Woodsons illustrations, which i think is a very beautiful drawing, and i wanted to try my hand at shading.

This picture above is my attempt at one of Adrian Tomine's illustrations, i love his work it's beautifully drawn and he doesn't even need colour, black and white makes it stand out enough.

So this is a coloured version of an illustration i liked by Matthew Woodson, I drew this picture in pencil then went over with a fineliner pen, and coloured in with just basic coloured pencils.
